Edge Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based in Anandipur, working with the local farming community here. Most of our activity happens around the village and the fields. It’s a group effort, really. We didn't want to just work alone anymore, so we set up this producer company to handle things together. Kavish Chauhan is one of the main people involved in getting this started. You won't find a big glass building or a receptionist here. We usually meet under a tree or in someone's house to discuss what we are planting this season. It's all about the land and what we can get out of it. We deal with seeds, fertilizers, and trying to get a fair price for our grain. It’s not always easy because the market is unpredictable. We have our good years and our bad years, like any other farmer. We aren't experts in business talk; we just know how to grow things. We've spent our whole lives in this area, so we know the soil pretty well. Being part of a company helps us when we need to buy things in bulk. We are just trying to keep the tradition of farming alive while making it a bit more organized. It's a slow process, but we are making progress little by little. Everyone here knows everyone else, so word spreads fast. We just want to keep working our land and providing for our families. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes we just sit and watch the sky, hoping for rain.
