We’ve been running Eastern Embroidery Collections Pvt. Ltd. from our spot at A- 254 Okhla Industrial Area Phase - I for quite some time now. If you ever come by this part of Okhla, you know how busy the streets get with trucks and people moving things around. Our place is pretty much what you’d expect from an industrial area unit. It’s filled with threads, fabric scraps, and the constant hum of machines working on different patterns. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just show up, look at the designs that need doing, and get to work. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time, so they know their way around a needle and thread better than most. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running for hours, but we have our fans going. We don’t have a big front office with a receptionist. Usually, if someone walks in, one of us just looks up from whatever we are doing to say hello. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the material coming in and out, but that’s just the nature of embroidery work. We spend a lot of time checking the details on the fabric before things get packed up. It's just a regular day-to-day business where we try to keep things moving. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the work. It’s simple. There is always a pile of fabric waiting to be worked on. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. If you find the building, you find us.
