Durga Lights

If you’re ever walking around Moti Nagar near Sudarshan Park, you might have seen our sign for Durga Lights. We are located at Plot No-A-169, and it’s a pretty easy place to find once you’re in the neighborhood. I usually get here early to get the lights turned on so people can see we’re open. The shop isn't massive, but we’ve crammed a lot into the space over the years. Some days it feels a bit crowded with all the boxes stacked up, but I know where everything is. My desk is in the corner, usually covered in some wires or old receipts that I haven't filed away yet. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. Sometimes the coffee guy comes around and we take a quick break. We see a lot of local folks who’ve lived in Moti Nagar their whole lives. They stop in to ask questions or just to see what’s new on the shelves. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just see us when they're going to the park or heading home from work. The floor is a bit scuffed from all the feet walking through, but that’s just a sign of a busy day. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized as much as possible for the next person who walks in.
