A V Tech Systems

Our shop is over at B-5/16 in Vashist Park, right across from where the old Janak Cinema used to be a big deal. Janakpuri has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in this little corner. Inside A V Tech Systems, it usually sounds like a mix of static and bass tests. We have speakers and amplifiers sitting around, and the walls are lined with all kinds of connectors and adapters that you can’t find in the big mall stores. It’s a bit cramped because we keep a lot of spare parts "just in case." Sometimes a customer comes in looking for a cable for a system that’s twenty years old, and usually, we can find it if we dig through the bins under the counter for long enough. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or lighting for the shop. We’d rather spend that on better testing equipment. The floor is old linoleum and the ceiling tiles are a bit stained, but it’s a comfortable place to work. We spend our afternoons mostly tinkering with sound boards or setting up displays. Being opposite the cinema means we get a lot of foot traffic, but mostly it's just people stopping in to ask questions about their home setups. We don't have any prepared speeches or sales pitches. We just show people how the gear works and let them decide for themselves while we get back to our soldering.
