Dsm Sugar Kashipur is based out of Mohalla Number 5 in Bilsi, right in Bhavan Wali Gali. If you’re from Badaun, you know the area can be quite narrow and busy most of the time. It’s a traditional kind of place. We’ve been involved in the sugar business here for a long time. There is no big corporate headquarters here, just our spot in the lane where we handle the daily operations. Dealing with sugar means we are tied to the seasons and the local farming cycles. When it's peak season, things get very hectic around here and there's not much time for anything else. The rest of the year is a bit slower. We know most of our neighbors and the people who come by to see us. It’s a small operation compared to the giant mills, but we like it that way. We don't have a website or fancy brochures to hand out. We just talk to people face to face. The office is a bit old and dusty, filled with papers and the smell of the trade. Sometimes the logistics of getting things moved through the narrow streets of Bilsi can be a real headache. But we’ve figured out how to make it work over the years. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. It’s honest work and it keeps us going. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just trade sugar.
