Dhanushdhari Khad Beej Bhandar

Down at Rajendra Place in the Vijendra Place building, that’s where you’ll find Dhanushdhari Khad Beej Bhandar. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a place like ours, surrounded by all these big office buildings, but we have been here for a while. The shop is filled with bags of seeds and different kinds of fertilizers, so it has that earthy smell that you don't really find anywhere else in this area. I spend most of my time weighing things out or helping people carry heavy sacks to their vehicles. It’s physical work and by the end of the day, my back usually aches a bit. I don't use any fancy computer systems to track everything; I mostly just write things down in my ledger like I have always done. The office workers from the floors above sometimes peek in curiously because we look so different from the tech companies nearby. I usually just give them a nod and get back to what I am doing. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late and I have to stay past closing time to get everything inside the shop. It is a bit of a struggle to keep such a traditional business going in a modern commercial hub, but we have our regular customers who rely on us. I just focus on keeping the stock fresh and the prices fair for everyone who comes in.
