Design Academy

The second floor of Main Krishna Market in Kalkaji is where Design Academy is located. It’s right near Deshbandhu College, so there are always plenty of students walking around the area buying snacks or books. Being on the 1st and 2nd floor means we hear everything happening in the market below us, from the vegetable sellers to the honking rickshaws and bikes. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and people trying to learn how to use design software on old computers. We aren't a big, shiny institution with glass walls and fancy lights. It’s more of a place where you sit down, grab a mouse, and start clicking until you figure out the software. We spend a lot of time explaining the same tools over and over, but that’s just how teaching goes when you are in a busy market. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the internet gets slow for a few minutes, which is pretty typical for this part of Delhi. We just deal with it and keep the lessons going. The market outside is great for a quick lunch between sessions, and the atmosphere is always lively and loud. We don't promise anyone that they will become a creative genius overnight. We just show them how the programs work and let them practice as much as they need to. It’s a simple setup for people who actually want to put in the hours and learn a new skill right in the heart of Kalkaji.
