Shree Vinayak Diamonds

We are located in Dariba Kalan, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. Being on the first floor means we are slightly above the main noise of the street, but you can still hear the crowds and the rickshaws all day long. Shree Vinayak Diamonds is a small place where we spend our time looking at stones and talking to people who come in from the market. Dariba Kalan is famous for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the other shops. It’s a bit of a walk through the narrow lanes to get to us, but that’s just how Chandni Chowk is. We’ve got our tools and our benches where we check everything carefully. It isn't a shiny mall store; it’s more of a traditional workspace with lots of history in the walls. We see a lot of regulars who have been coming to this area for generations. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked, but we just keep working. We handle diamonds and jewelry pieces every day. It’s meticulous work and requires a lot of light. We like the energy of the area, even when it’s overwhelming. If you head up to the first floor, you’ll find us there amongst the ledgers and the display cases. It’s just how we do things here in the old city. It's home.
