You can find us at Kanchan Kaya Fashions in the heart of old Delhi. We are located at number 561 in Katra Asharfi, which is right in Chandni Chowk. To make it easier, we are directly opposite the Town Hall. If you know that area, you know how packed it is. The streets are narrow and there’s always a crowd. It’s been this way for a long time. Our shop is just one of many in the market, but we’ve been here long enough that people know the name. We deal with clothes and fashion, mostly just keeping up with what people are looking for. The building is old, like everything else in Chandni Chowk, and it has that specific feel of a traditional market. There is no air conditioning in the lanes, so it gets hot in the summer, but we just get on with it. We don't have a website or a social media manager. We just open the doors and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes it’s chaotic with the rickshaws and the loaders moving through Katra Asharfi, but that’s just the atmosphere here. We keep our stock piled up and move through it as the days go by. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell what we have and try to keep the business running. It's simple work but it keeps us on our feet all day.
