We’ve got two units here, which sounds like a lot, but they’re packed so tight with sarees and fabric that it still feels a bit small. We spend our days unfolding and folding fabric, showing people different patterns and colors. It's a lot of standing around and talking. Some of the stock has been sitting on the top shelves for longer than I can remember. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when new stuff keeps coming in every week. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most modern shop. We just want to get through the day and make sure we have what people are asking for. Usually, we drink way too much tea and talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s a simple life here in the Katra. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
