Uzma Creations

Our place is at F-75/3 in Chand Bagh. It’s a modest setup, just a couple of rooms where we do all our creation work. Finding us can be a bit tricky if you aren't familiar with the lanes of Chand Bagh, as the numbering can be confusing to outsiders. We have a small team of workers who sit together at the long benches. There’s always some embroidery or handwork going on, so you’ll see lots of needles and colorful thread everywhere. We don't have much in the way of furniture—mostly just our workstations and some shelves for storing the finished pieces. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving equipment around, and we have a small stove in the corner to make tea and heat up our lunch. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, except for the occasional sound of a motorcycle passing by the window. We focus on the task at hand and try not to get distracted. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to handle sales; we just talk to the people who come to the door or call us on the phone. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and have to send someone out to the local market to find a match. It’s just a normal workshop where we put in the hours and try to make things that look nice. It’s not a big operation, but it’s ours.
