You can find us at 191, Sukhdev Vihar. It’s a decent area, and we’ve been based in this building for quite a while now. Chan Exports Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big name, but we’re actually a pretty small operation. The office is basically a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We don't have any of those modern open-plan spaces you see in magazines. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it suits us just fine. There’s a small garden out front that we try to keep tidy, though the Delhi dust makes it hard. Most of us have been working together for years, so we’re more like a family than coworkers. We don't have formal meetings with slides or presentations; we usually just talk over tea in the afternoon. Sometimes the phones ring off the hook and it gets a bit chaotic, but we manage to stay on top of things. We aren't interested in sounding like a huge multinational corporation. We’re just a local business trying to do our work without too much fuss. People in the neighborhood know us, and we like it that way. If the gate is open, it means we’re inside working, probably dealing with some shipping documents or checking on a supplier. It’s a steady pace, and we’re happy with that. We don't need fancy stuff to get through the day, just a good plan and some patience.
