Jangpura Extension is a pretty specific part of South Delhi. Our place at O 17 is right in the middle of it all, tucked away in a spot that feels like home. We deal with a lot of different food and drinks every day. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, especially when the deliveries arrive early in the morning and we have to find space for everything. The room isn’t huge, so we have to stay organized or we lose track of things. Most of the time, the air smells like whatever we’re prepping for the day. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving boxes and making sure the fridges are working right. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same faces walking by. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for the delivery trucks to pull in, and we have to run out and help them navigate the narrow streets. It’s just part of the routine.
