Bhardwaj Sweets

Bhardwaj Sweets is a small place located at WZ-217 in Nangal Raya. We spend most of our time in the back preparing various types of traditional sweets and snacks. The morning starts very early for us because we have to get the milk and sugar ready for the first batch. Nangal Raya is a busy residential area, so we see a lot of people stopping by for breakfast or to pick up some samosas in the evening. Our shop is nothing fancy, just a counter and some display cases for the barfi and laddoos. We focus on making things the way they have always been made around here. We don't use any modern machines for most of it; it’s all done by hand. The WZ block can get quite congested with scooters and pedestrians, especially during the festivals. During those times, we are working around the clock to keep up with the demand. People in the neighborhood know us well, and we know their preferences. Some like their jalebis extra crispy and others want less sugar. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website. We just rely on the fact that people like the taste of our food and keep coming back. It’s a bit hot and oily in the kitchen, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We are happy being a local spot in Nangal Raya.
