You can find us over in Shakarpur, specifically in Aruna Park at Gali No-01. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but Hira Lal Saini’s place is well-known around the block. We work as an associate of BSES. Mostly that means we deal with the daily power stuff and local connections. It’s busy work. Delhi never really stops, does it? We spend a lot of time out in the lanes or dealing with paperwork at the desk. The office isn't much to look at, just A-164, but it's where we get things sorted. People come by with all sorts of issues about their electricity or bills. We try to explain things clearly. It’s not always easy when the weather is hot and everyone is stressed. We’ve been operating out of this Gali for a long time. The neighbors know us by name. We don't use big fancy words or try to sell you anything you don't need. It’s just about keeping the lights on and making sure the wiring is okay. If you need us, you just walk down the lane. We’re usually around unless we’re out on a call nearby. It's a small team, just a few of us making sure things run like they should. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and work. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it. We drink a lot of tea while we look over the latest schedules and maps of the area to make sure everyone has what they need.
