Ashish Dholakia

Being located at 97 Patiala House Courts Lawyers Chamber means things are usually pretty loud and rushed around here. Ashish Dholakia has been in this spot for a while, tucked away among all the other chambers where everyone is always in a hurry. You can hear the constant hum of people talking in the hallways and the distant sound of cars outside. The office itself is small and packed with books and stacks of papers that seem to grow taller every single week. There is barely enough room for the chairs, but it works for what we need to do. Most mornings start with a quick cup of tea from the stall nearby before the real work begins. We spend a lot of time just reading through documents and waiting for things to move forward. It is not a glamorous place by any means, with the old wooden doors and the dusty shelves that have been there forever. People come in and out all day long, mostly just looking for some help with their files or asking questions about the schedule. Sometimes the power flickers when it gets too hot outside, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. It is the kind of place where you know everyone by their first name after a few weeks. It is just a basic office where we put in the hours and try to stay on top of the daily grind.
