You can find us on the 2nd Floor at S-2 in Lado Sarai. It’s a well-known area for people interested in design and art, so we feel right at home here. The office is on the second floor, which gives us a little bit of a view of the street below, though it’s mostly just other buildings and the usual Lado Sarai traffic. Anju Modi Textile & Fashion Designer is basically just a working studio. We have our tables, our fabrics, and our sketches scattered around. It’s not a perfectly tidy place, but it’s where all the creative work happens. We like the vibe of Lado Sarai because it’s a bit different from the more commercial parts of Delhi. There are a lot of creative people tucked away in these buildings. Our space in S-2 is where we spend the bulk of our time, thinking about new designs and looking at textiles. The stairs up to the second floor are a daily workout, but we don't mind the climb. We don't really have a big staff, it’s just a few of us working together. We don't go for much of the corporate look; our space is more about function than style. People usually come to see us by appointment, so it’s usually quite focused and quiet inside while the rest of Lado Sarai goes about its business. It’s a good spot for what we do and we’ve been here for a while now. We just focus on the clothes.
