Amrita Vidyalayam

Being over here at Amrita Vidyalayam in Bhavani Nagar, you get used to the sounds of the Mandoli Road traffic pretty quickly. Our place at 71/1 is usually buzzing with kids from early morning until the afternoon. It’s a lot of noise, but it’s the kind of noise you start to miss when the holidays come around. We have some teachers who have been here forever and they know everyone’s name in the neighborhood. The building isn't brand new, but it’s sturdy and we try to keep the grounds looking decent despite the dust from the road. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day things, like making sure the bells ring on time and that the kids have what they need for their classes. It’s not always organized chaos, sometimes it’s just chaos, but we manage to get through the lessons. Parents stop by all the time just to chat or ask about their kids, which makes it feel like a real community spot. We don't have a huge marketing team or anything like that, just us doing the teaching and keeping the place running. Sometimes we have small events on the weekends and the whole street gets a bit crowded. It’s just how things are around Bhavani Nagar. We like being part of the local life here and seeing the kids grow up year after year. It can be exhausting but it's worth it for the community.
