Amit Hair Saloon

My shop is located at Shop No 5 in the Main Market of Satya Niketan, right near Venk College. Because we are so close to the university, I get a lot of young students coming in for a haircut. They always want the latest styles they see on the internet or in movies. The market here in Delhi is always moving, and Satya Niketan has a specific kind of busy energy. It is a small space, but I have managed to fit everything I need inside to do the job. I have the usual revolving chairs and a couple of wooden benches for people to wait on. Usually, there is a pile of old newspapers or some magazines on the table, though the students mostly just look at their phones. The walls have a few posters of different hairstyles, though most people just tell me what they want. It can get very crowded during the college lunch breaks or right after classes end in the afternoon. I try to work quickly so nobody has to wait too long out in the heat. Being in Delhi 110021, the rent is always something to think about, so I work long hours to keep things going. It is just me and sometimes one other person helping out on the busy weekends. We talk about exams, sports, and whatever else is going on in the city. It’s a decent living and I like being in the middle of all the action here near the college.
