American Soybean Association

Our office for the American Soybean Association is at 168, Jor Bagh. It is a quiet enough area, which is nice when you have a lot of reading and reports to get through. We have been here for a long time, and the building has its own little quirks. The windows rattle a bit when it's windy, and the light in the hallway flickers sometimes. We don't really mind though. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on various soybean projects and staying in touch with folks in the industry. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of people. It’s just a group of people trying to keep things moving. Jor Bagh is a pleasant part of the city to work in. There are some trees outside and it feels less hectic than the main commercial hubs. We don't go in for big marketing campaigns or trying to sound like a giant multinational. We just handle the day-to-day tasks that come our way. If you walk past 168, you might not even realize what we do, and that’s fine with us. We prefer to keep our heads down and stay busy with the work. The files are organized, the tea is usually hot, and we just keep at it. It’s a simple way of working but it has served us well over the years. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate. We just sit at our desks and get things done day by day. It works for us and we plan to stay here for a while.
