Akansha Botique

Our place, Akansha Botique, is over at 9807 New Rohtak Road. It’s a long road and we have been at this address for a long time now. The building is older but it has character. We spend most of our time inside working on different pieces and talking to people who come in from the street. New Rohtak Road is always busy with cars and trucks, so it can be a bit loud. We don’t mind it much anymore. Inside, we have our sewing machines and racks of things we’ve made or brought in. It’s not a shiny, polished showroom. It’s a working shop where things actually get made. We have scraps of fabric here and there and thread on the floor sometimes. We are just a few people who like what we do. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the clothes fit right and people are happy with what they take home. Some days we stay late to finish a project if someone needs it quickly. We drink tea and listen to the radio while we work. It’s a quiet life compared to the street outside. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day. It isn't much, but it’s our business.
