Our little spot is located at C-257 in Defence Colony, which is a pretty well-known part of New Delhi. Being affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University means there is always something going on here. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with the sound of shuffling papers and people asking questions about forms or deadlines. It’s an old building, and you can feel the history in the walls, though sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise that we’ve all just learned to ignore. New Delhi 110024 is a busy pin code, and the streets outside are usually packed with cars and people heading to the market. We spend our mornings sorting through mail and getting the desks ready. It isn't a high-pressure corporate environment, more like a place where everyone knows everyone’s name. We have a small pantry where the kettle is always on, and that’s where most of the actual talk happens. Dealing with university stuff can be a bit slow sometimes because there’s so much paperwork involved, but we get through it. Sometimes we have to stay back to finish filing things properly, especially during admission season. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, so we usually have the lamps on. It’s just us doing what needs to be done to keep things moving for the students and the staff who drop by.
