Our office is in Vishal Tower, specifically units 509 and 510. This is right in the Janakpuri District Centre, which most people in this part of Delhi know very well. It is a massive area with tons of buildings and people everywhere. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view, though it is mostly just other rooftops and the metro line in the distance. The elevators in Vishal Tower can be quite slow during the morning rush, so some of us end up taking the stairs if we are running late. The two rooms we have are filled with desks and a few chairs for visitors. It is not a corporate showroom; it is just where we work. We have papers stacked on most surfaces, and the phone rings pretty often. Janakpuri is great because you can find any kind of food just by walking down to the ground floor. We usually grab lunch from one of the stalls nearby. The noise from the district centre drifts up sometimes, but it just feels like part of the atmosphere. We have been in this spot for a few years now. The carpet is starting to show some wear near the door, and the clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but it works for us. We just focus on helping the people who walk through our door and keeping our records in order.
