Abhisaaz Vastra India Private Limited

We’re located out in Sanjay Colony, near the Bhatti Mines area in South Delhi. Our address is A-117 on the ground floor. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s where we have our space for Abhisaaz Vastra India Private Limited. The ground floor is handy because we don’t have to lug heavy boxes up any stairs. We’ve got a good amount of room for the sewing machines and the cutting tables. The area around here is quite lived-in and feels very local. We have workers from the nearby streets who walk over every morning. We deal with all kinds of Indian wear, mostly focusing on the basics that people need. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a practical one with white walls and lots of fluorescent lights. Sometimes the dust from the nearby mines can be a bit much, so we have to keep the doors shut during the dry months. We’ve been running this for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially when the costs of materials go up, but we keep going. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the orders we have on the table. It’s a regular day-to-day grind, making sure the stitching is straight and the colors are right before anything leaves the shop. We keep our tea kettle going most of the afternoon to keep us awake.
