Sri Ramakrishna Raw & Boiled Rice Mill

Our mill is located at 5-241 on Bazaar Street in Bahadur Pet. At Sri Ramakrishna Raw & Boiled Rice Mill, there’s always something happening. If the machines aren't roaring, then we’re probably loading up a truck or weighing bags. Bazaar Street is a busy place to be, and Bahadur Pet has a lot of energy. We handle both raw and boiled rice, which keeps us pretty busy since people have their own preferences for what they want to eat. The smell of the grain is something you just get used to after a few days of working here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have a lot of rice and some old machinery that we keep running with a bit of oil and hard work. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, chatting while we sit on the stacks. It’s not a corporate life at all. We wear work clothes that get dirty, and we talk to our customers like they’re our friends, because many of them are. We’ve been on Bazaar Street for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. But the mill stays the same, just doing its job day in and day out. It’s a lot of sweating and lifting, but that’s the life of a miller in this part of town. We just keep moving.
