Sai Krishna Dall Mill

We have been running Sai Krishna Dall Mill on Siripallivari Street for a good while now. It is a busy spot at 13/5/2/1. People around here know the sound of the machines going all day long. My dad started things off years ago and I just kept it moving. We handle a lot of pulses, mostly getting the skins off and cleaning them up for the local shops and families. It gets pretty dusty inside the mill, but that is just how it is when you work with grain. We spend most of our time making sure the bags are filled right and the quality is okay for the neighbors. Nothing fancy happens here, just hard work. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them on the fly. We do not have a big office or anything, just the workspace and where we load the trucks. The street is narrow so getting the big loads in can be a bit of a headache. We know most of the people who come by since they have lived in this neighborhood forever. It is mostly about getting the job done before the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in. It is what keeps the lights on. We do not do much advertising, word of mouth is usually enough for us. If you walk down Siripallivari Street, you cannot miss the smell of the raw lentils. It is a steady life.
