Amara Raja Batteries

Things are a bit quieter out here in Ramatheertham compared to the big cities. We operate Amara Raja Batteries from a spot in the village area of Vidavalur Mandalam. Most people around Nellore District know the family name or have seen us around for years. It’s a lot of manual work and making sure the battery supplies are ready for whoever needs them. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and local truck drivers who depend on good power for their vehicles and equipment. It’s not a polished office environment at all. Usually, there is some dust on the floor and tools lying around where they shouldn't be. My father, Jayaramaiah, and others in the family have been around this area for a long time. We know the roads and we know the people. When someone’s tractor won't start, they come looking for us. We don't have a website with moving pictures or anything like that. We just have our location and our word. Life in the village moves at its own pace. We open the doors early in the morning and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes we sit outside and talk for a bit when it's not too hot in the afternoon. It’s a practical business for a practical place. We focus on the basics and making sure things work when they are supposed to. That is basically our whole day-to-day life here in the village. It suits us just fine.
