We spend most of our time here at NBC Complex in Room 317/31U. It’s a busy spot in Sector 11 of CBD Belapur East. Being so close to the railway station makes it pretty easy for people to find us, which is nice. Vinayak Kharade And Associates Architect And Interior Designer has been operating from this office for a while now. Most days are filled with looking over drawings and trying to figure out how to make spaces work better for whoever is using them. It’s not always glamorous work. Sometimes it’s just a lot of measuring and re-checking things to make sure the plans actually fit the site. People stop by to talk about their homes or offices, and we just sit down and try to sketch something out that makes sense. We do both the big structural stuff and the smaller interior details. The office gets a bit cluttered with samples and papers, but that is just how we work. Being in this part of Belapur, we see a lot of different projects coming up around the area. It keeps us occupied. We aren't a huge firm with fancy receptionists or anything like that. It is just us here doing the actual design work. If you are coming from the station, you just walk over and head up to the third floor. We are usually around during regular hours unless we are out at a site visit somewhere nearby. Sometimes the lift is slow, so we take the stairs to keep things moving. It’s a practical place for practical work.
