Kanchan Steel (India)

We are Kanchan Steel, and our office is in Shivam Apartment, Navi Mumbai. Our specific spot is Al-1, 68. We have been working out of this apartment for quite a few years now. We deal in steel products of all kinds. It is a very straightforward kind of business. We spend our mornings checking emails from suppliers and our afternoons trying to figure out where the delivery trucks are. The office is simple, just some desks, chairs, and a few samples of the metal we sell. It gets a bit cluttered because we keep all our old records in boxes under the tables. Navi Mumbai is a busy place for steel because there is always something being built. We aren't a big corporation, just a small group of people who know a lot about metal. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. If someone needs steel, they find us or someone tells them to come to us. We try to be honest about what we have and when it will arrive. Sometimes there are delays at the port or with the transport, and we have to spend all day on the phone making things right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is what we do. We like the routine of it and the people we deal with. It is just a normal local business trying to do a good job.
