We’re over in Vashi, at 317/319 in the Arenja Corner building in Sector-17. It’s a pretty busy commercial hub. You can find almost anything you need within a few blocks. Our office is where the chemical business gets managed. We don’t actually mix the chemicals here; this is where the planning and the sales happen. There are always stacks of catalogs and price lists lying around. Sector-17 is usually crowded, especially during the lunch hour when everyone comes out to the local eateries. The building itself is standard for Navi Mumbai—a lot of different offices packed together. We have a small team, and it can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at the same time. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the humid months. We’ve been in this spot for a while, so we know all the delivery guys and the postman by name. It’s a regular job, really. We spend the morning answering emails and the afternoon chasing down orders. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps the lights on. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the month-end reports, and you can see the lights of the city starting to come on. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation where we try to keep things organized and moving along.
