Well Done Hair Dressers

Well Done Hair Dressers is at Shop No. 3 in the Varni Apartments. We are right on the Mumbai Nashik Highway, so there is always the sound of big trucks and cars rushing past the front door. It can get a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep the windows closed when it’s bad. We are positioned right across from Shantai Apartments, and many of our regulars live right there. The shop itself is small, with just enough room for the cutting chairs and a small bench for waiting. I’ve got an old radio that stays on a local station most of the day. The mirrors have been there since we opened, and they have a few spots on the edges where the silver is coming off. We don't do any of those fancy treatments you see in the malls. We just do haircuts and shaves for the people in Chetana Nagar. Sometimes a traveler stops in because they saw our sign from the highway. We keep a few old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones now. My hands are usually busy from morning until evening, especially on Saturdays. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We know when the milkman comes by and when the school bus drops off the kids. It’s just our little corner of the world here in the apartments.
