Our shop is number 43 in the Sharad Chandra Pawar Market Yard. It's easy to find because we're right across from the RTO office on Peth Road. Being in the market yard means things start very early in the morning. We trade in agricultural goods, mostly whatever the farmers bring in. The place is usually packed with bags and crates. It’s a bit dusty and loud because of all the trucks coming and going. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. My brother and I run the daily operations here. We’ve been in this market for years. Sometimes the prices fluctuate every hour, so we're always checking the latest rates. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. The office part is just a small corner with a wooden desk and a couple of plastic chairs. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next load to arrive. If you miss the RTO office, you’ve gone too far down Peth Road. The market yard is always a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us. We know most of the people around here by name. It’s just how things go in the trading business. We stay until the last truck is cleared for the day. Sometimes we have to deal with paperwork issues but we fix them quickly.
