Nagarjuna Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.

Nagarjuna Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. is out at Plot No-M-119 in the M.I.D.C. area. We are located right behind Godavari Engineering College. It’s a big industrial patch and there is always some truck moving around or some construction going on. Being behind the college means we see a lot of students walking by during the day. Our plot is fairly large because chemicals and fertilizers need space for storage and handling. It’s not the most beautiful place to look at. Lots of pipes and tanks and concrete. The air has a bit of a sharp smell sometimes, which is just part of the job. We have a small administrative building on the site. The floors are that gray industrial tile that never looks truly clean. We have a lot of safety signs posted everywhere. The sun really beats down on the open ground here. We have a small canteen area where we eat our tiffins. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town. Most of us have been working here for years. We know the routines of the MIDC area well. When the college bell rings, we know it’s almost time for the shift change. It’s a busy spot but it’s just our daily grind. We deal with the logistics and the production stuff without much fuss. The gate security guard is always listening to his radio.
