Mohak Tea Company

Our business is on Ambe Residency Road, right near the Sikh temple. It’s a pretty easy landmark to find. Mohak Tea Company is a small setup we’ve had for a few years now. We have a front area where we show what we have and a back area for storage. The temple nearby means it’s usually peaceful, except for the occasional festive day. We spend our time checking the quality of the tea and making sure the bags are sealed right. The floor is made of stone and stays cool in the heat. We have a couple of wooden stools for guests, but they aren't very comfortable. We don't have any big posters or neon signs. Our name is just painted on the door. It’s a quiet life mostly. We know the people who live around here. Sometimes they stop by just to say hello. We don't use much social media. Most of our work comes from people who know us or walk by the shop. The shelves are a bit disorganized sometimes because we move things around a lot. We try to keep things simple and honest. We aren't trying to build an empire. We just want to provide what we have to the people who want it. It’s a small life but it’s ours. We usually open the doors when the sun is up and stay until the evening light fades. The smell of the temple incense sometimes drifts over into our storage area. We also have a small radio.
