Masa Traders

Masa Traders is right on Malegaon Road in the village itself. If you get to the bus stop, you’ve basically found us. Being near the bus stop means there are always people around and a lot of noise from the engines and the conductors shouting. Our shop is a simple place with a front counter and storage space in the back. We trade in whatever is needed in the village and the surrounding district. It’s a small operation, mostly run by just a couple of us. We have a lot of regular people who come in just to chat or check what we have in stock. The floor is made of rough stone and we have to sweep it twice a day because of the dust from Malegaon Road. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just write things down in a ledger. The walls have some old calendars on them. When the weather is good, we leave the doors wide open. In the winter, it gets quite chilly because we are right on the road. We handle a variety of goods, moving them in and out as the orders come. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s how we make a living here. We know everyone in the village and they know us. We just keep doing the same things we’ve done for years, buying and selling and keeping the business going near the bus stop.
