M.A. Tea

M.A. Tea is located on Adal Road, right across from Guru General Store here in Lal Shahpur. It is a simple spot where we make tea throughout the day. The stove is almost always on because someone is always walking by wanting a cup. We have a few benches for people to sit down on when they are tired. The road gets quite a lot of traffic, mostly tractors and motorcycles, so there is always some noise. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Getting the milk delivered and then boiling the first pot of water is how our day begins. It is not a very big shop, just enough room for the counter and the brewing area. We keep the tea leaves in large tins and the sugar is always within reach. Some people like their tea with a lot of ginger, so we keep a pile of that ready to crush. Opposite us, the general store is always busy too, so there is a lot of movement in this part of Lal Shahpur. Sometimes we sit outside when it is not too hot. The walls inside could probably use a new coat of paint but for now, they are fine. It feels like a second home since we are here from dawn until it gets dark. We don't have a menu or anything like that, just the tea we make every day. Our glasses are cleaned in a small sink at the back constantly.
