Laxmi Furniture Nashik

If you head down No. 66 Feet Road in Nashik, you’ll eventually run into Laxmi Furniture. We’ve been set up here for a bit, and the shop is usually covered in a thin layer of sawdust. That’s just part of the job when you’re dealing with wood and furniture all day. We have a front area where we put out some of the finished chairs and tables, but the back is where all the actual work happens. It’s noisy because of the saws and the sanding, but we’re used to it by now. The road outside is fairly wide, so it’s easy for trucks to pull up when we have a delivery of timber coming in. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a warehouse feel where you can see how everything is made. The air smells like pine and polish most of the time. We are just a small group of people who know how to handle tools and put things together so they last. Sometimes we sit out front on a couple of stools when things are slow and watch the traffic go by on 66 Feet Road. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches or fancy brochures. People usually just come in, look at the wood, and tell us what they need for their houses. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
