Khusi Beauty Parlour

If you walk down Bidi Kamgar Road in the Panchavati area of Nashik, you will find Khusi Beauty Parlour. We are situated quite close to the Swami Samarth Mandhir, so we often hear the temple bells ringing while we are working on someone’s hair. It is a very busy part of Nashik and there are always people walking past the shop. We opened this place because we wanted something of our own. The shop is small and sometimes it gets a bit crowded when three or four people come in at the same time. We have a couple of chairs and some simple shelves where we keep the shampoos and creams. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby houses and they have been coming to us for years. We don't do anything too complicated, just regular beauty work like facials or cutting hair. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so it gets quite warm inside, but we have a good fan that stays on all day. We try to keep things clean but with the road construction nearby, it is a bit of a struggle with the dust. Being near the mandir means we get a lot of people stopping by on their way to pray. It is just a simple, local business where we try to do an honest day’s work and chat with our neighbors in Panchavati.
