We are located at Bhanudas Shankar Kolhe’s place in Sonak Pimpalgaon. It’s a small village in the Ambad area. Being in the 431204 zip code means we are deep in the farming heart of the region. We started this because the local guys needed a way to pool their resources and get a better price. Most of the day is spent checking on the fields or sitting in the shade talking about what seeds we should use next year. It’s not a fancy life by any means. We have one old computer and a lot of notebooks filled with names and numbers of local farmers. There’s always a bit of mud on the floor from someone coming in from the fields in their work clothes. We don't really have a set schedule; we just work until the job is finished for the day. Ambad can be a very busy place during harvest time, and we’re right in the thick of it. We are just local people trying to make a living and helping our neighbors do the same. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a group of us sitting around a porch trying to figure things out together. It’s honest work.
