My shop is right here at the main gate of Thakkar Bazar in Nashik. You probably know the spot if you go towards the CBS area often. It’s quite busy around here with all the buses coming and going. We are very close to the Padam Laxmi Hotel and the Ganpati Mandir is just a short walk away. I have been sitting in this shop for a long time now. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a quick trim. Most people stop by when they are heading to the market or waiting for their bus at the station. It gets dusty outside because of the road work and the traffic, so I try to keep the fans running fast. Sometimes the temple bells ring and you can hear them inside while you get your hair cut. Nashik has changed a lot over the years but this corner of Thakkar Bazar feels mostly the same. I keep a few newspapers on the small table for anyone waiting their turn. It is not a very big space but it works for us. We have the usual mirrors and the spray bottles. My neighbors at the hotel often send people over here. It is just a simple place where we do our work every day from morning until the market closes. If you are near the new CBS area, you will find us easily behind the main gate.
