Harshal Soda

If you are driving down the Main Hasoda Road in Bhadli Bk, you’ll eventually see our sign for Harshal Soda. We’ve been here at this location for a while now, serving the people in this local area. It’s a very straightforward business to be honest. We have the bottling equipment set up in the back and a small wooden counter up front for customers. The road outside can get quite dusty in the dry season, so we are always wiping down the glass bottles and the tables to keep things decent. It’s just a few of us working here, mostly family members and a neighbor who helps us out when things get busy in the summer. We don't have a big marketing plan or some mission statement to show off. We just wake up, open the shutters, and start the machines. Most of our regular customers are people from the village or truck drivers passing through on the Hasoda Road. We spend a lot of our time maintaining the machinery because it’s a bit older and needs a lot of care to keep it running smoothly day after day. The work is very repetitive—filling the liquid, capping the tops, and stacking the crates—but it’s honest work that pays the bills. We don't use any fancy labels or expensive packaging. We just want to make sure there is enough soda for whoever stops by the shop. When the monsoon rains come, things slow down a bit, but we find other tasks.
