Our business, Dadhmaty Spices Private Limited, is tucked away in Vidya Nagar, Nashik. We are located at row house number 01 in the Leela Castle building. It’s more of a residential neighborhood than a big industrial zone, which we actually like. It keeps things a bit quieter. Nashik has good weather for most of the year, which helps when you are dealing with spices. We started this because we wanted to work with the different flavors and smells that come from the local markets. It’s not a huge factory operation. It’s more of a small-scale setup where we can keep an eye on everything ourselves. We spend a lot of time checking the batches and making sure the packaging is right. Sometimes the house feels a bit crowded with all the boxes, but we make it work. We aren't trying to sound like a big international company. We are just a local family and a few helpers trying to get spices out to the people who want them. There are days when the grind of the business gets to us, especially when the paperwork piles up, but that’s just part of owning a small company.
