Coffee Shop

Our shop is tucked into units 26 and 27 at the S.K.Open Mall on College Road. It’s a busy spot because of the mall and the college nearby. There’s always music playing somewhere in the mall and you can hear it faintly in the background while we work. We have a decent amount of space with the two shop units joined together. It gives people room to spread out. The mall management is pretty strict about things, so we spend a lot of time making sure the front looks okay. The tiles are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. College Road is always packed with bikes and cars. Sometimes it takes forever just to get to work in the morning. Inside the shop, it’s a bit of a sanctuary from the noise outside. We have a few regulars who come in every single day at the same time. We don't even have to ask what they want anymore. It’s just a routine. We wipe the counters, check the machines, and wait for the mall to get busy around lunchtime. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s steady. We like the people we meet. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in off the street. We just keep the lights on and the place ready for whoever needs a seat. It isn't perfect, but it’s our little corner of the mall.
