Barber Shop

Barber Shop is what we call our place at Kuber Corner on Jail Road. It is right on Nashik Road and very close to the Sailani Baba Stop. Being near a bus stop means there are always people around and the sound of traffic is constant. Our shop is a very traditional setup. We have the big glass windows in front so you can see who is inside before you enter. It is not a modern salon with music and lights. It is just a place for a man to get a haircut or a clean shave. We have the old-style chairs and the leather straps for sharpening the blades. The floor is made of tile and we spend a lot of time sweeping up the hair between customers. People stop in while they are waiting for their bus or after they get off work. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It is a simple business where the work is done with hands and simple tools. There is no complicated menu of services. You just come in and tell us what you want. We have a small bench for waiting and some old magazines if you have the time. It is a simple, local spot in Nashik where we just do our daily work. The location at Sailani Baba Stop makes it a handy place for everyone in the area. We have a small clock on the wall that ticks away while we work on the cuts.
