Agricoss Youth Social Foundation

Our foundation is based out of Umrane, which is in the Deola Taluka near Nashik. Specifically, we operate from Rajendra Wagh's place. It is a local setup because we wanted to stay close to the people we are actually working with in Tiagaon and the surrounding areas. Agricoss Youth Social Foundation started because we saw things that needed to be done in our own backyard. We aren't a big NGO with massive funding or a professional PR team. It is mostly just us, a few local people, putting in some time after our regular jobs are finished. We talk to the youth around here and try to figure out how to help out with social issues that matter to the village. The office is really just a room where we meet and talk things over. There is usually a lot of tea and long conversations about what is going on with the local families. Sometimes we go out to the fields or the local schools to see what people need. It is not always organized perfectly, but we try our best to keep things moving. Being in a place like Nashik, there is a lot of agricultural life, so that is a big part of our focus too. We don't have a fancy website or a bunch of glossy brochures. We just do the work. It is honest and it is local. If you are in Umrane, you can usually find one of us around.
