Kamakshi Veg Restaurant sits right at the Anand Nagar Chowk in Nanded. It is a spot most locals know because the bus stop is just a few steps away. We have been serving meals here for quite a while, mostly to people heading to work or students from around the area. The kitchen is small but it stays busy from morning until late evening. We do not have a massive menu with hundreds of items. We just stick to the vegetarian dishes that people seem to like and can be made fresh every day. The tables are a bit old and have some scratches, but they are sturdy enough. We get a lot of noise from the chowk, but that is part of the experience of eating in a busy part of town. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon if the lunch rush was bigger than we expected. It happens. We do not have any fancy uniforms or a maître d' at the door. You just walk in, find a seat, and someone will come over to take your order. The fans overhead hum quite loudly, but they keep the place cool during the summer. It is just a regular eating house where people can get a plate of food and move on with their day. We do not do much advertising; people see the sign when they are stuck in traffic and stop in.
