Gopi Ruchira Pure Veg Restaurant

If you are walking down Station Road in Nanded, you will find us in the Sanman Prestige building. We are pretty close to the Zilha Parishad office, so a lot of government workers come in for their lunch break. We only serve pure veg food here. It started out as a small idea years ago and we just kept going with it. The dining hall has simple tables and chairs. It gets very busy around one in the afternoon. We try to get the thalis out quickly because people usually have to get back to their offices. My cousin handles the billing and I usually stay near the kitchen to see what is happening. We use the same vegetables and grains you’d find in any local kitchen around here. There is nothing secret about what we do. Sometimes the overhead fans make a bit of a clatter, but nobody seems to mind when they are eating. We’ve seen Nanded change a lot over the years from our front door. The road outside is always being dug up for something or the other. We just keep the stove going and make sure the tea is hot. It is not a place for a fancy party, just a spot to get a meal that tastes like home. We are just happy to be part of the neighborhood here.
