Sri Srinivasa Seeds

Our place, Sri Srinivasa Seeds, is out in Oduvankurichi (Po). If you’re heading through Rasipuram T-K, you’ll find us at Vandikarar Thottam. It is not some big fancy building with glass walls. It is just a practical spot where we get the work done. We spend our days dealing with seeds. The rhythm of the work follows the seasons. When it’s time to plant, we are very busy. When it’s not, we spend time cleaning and sorting things. The office at Vandikarar Thottam is where we keep all the records. It’s got a bit of a dusty feel because of the area, but we like it that way. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of our neighbors are farmers too. We talk about the rain a lot. Sometimes the monsoon is late and everyone gets worried. We just sit around the old desk and figure things out. It is a simple life here in Oduvankurichi. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us. We know the land and we know the seeds we handle. If you come by Rasipuram T-K, you might see us out front. It’s a quiet life, but it’s honest work. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide the seeds that people need for their fields and hope for a good harvest like everyone else in the village. It is a slow way of living but it suits us just fine.
