Yeshamma Poleni

I stay at H. No. 2-150 in Pochampalle village. It’s a quiet place in the Gurrampode mandal. My work under the name Yeshamma Poleni is basically just what I do day to day to keep things moving. Living out here in T. S., you get used to the pace of the village. It isn’t like the big cities where everything is rushing. I handle things from home mostly. Neighbors know where I am if they need anything. It’s a simple house, nothing special to look at, but it’s where I've put in all my time. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when the rains are heavy and the roads get muddy. But we manage. I didn't go to any big school to learn business, I just learned by doing what needed to be done. There are no employees here, just me and occasionally family helping out when the load is too much. People around Pochampalle know me by my name. I don't use flyers or ads because everyone knows the house number. If there is work, I do it. If there isn't, I wait. That’s just the way it goes here. It’s hard work, but it pays the bills and keeps the family going. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. I keep a small notebook where I write down what I've done for the day so I don't forget. The light in the house is a bit dim in the evenings, so I try to finish everything before the sun goes down.
