Mondikatti Venkatamma Transport

We run Mondikatti Venkatamma Transport out of house number 2-34 in Durajpally. It’s right in the Chivemla area. This business is mostly about moving things from one place to another using our trucks. It’s not an easy job because the roads can be rough and the weather is often too hot or too rainy. We spend a lot of our time waiting for loads to be ready or sitting in traffic on the way to a delivery. The yard at our place is usually cluttered with crates and ropes we use to tie everything down. My hands are almost always dirty from checking the oil or helping the drivers with a flat tire. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from people in the village or the next town over who just know we have a reliable truck available. Sometimes we have to work late into the night if a shipment is delayed, and other times we are up before dawn to beat the morning rush. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting bags and moving heavy boxes around. We just try to keep the vehicles running and make sure the goods get to where they are supposed to be. It’s a basic way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do. There is always something needing to be moved.
